Board Certified Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia & Analgesia
Keely graduated from the University of Sydney in 2008 and worked in mixed and emergency practice in Australia and overseas. After completing an equine internship she stayed in equine referral practice, where she developed her love of anaesthesia.
She completed her residency in anaesthesia and analgesia at Murdoch University, training in both the American and European programmes, alongside two Masters degrees. After 18 months in academia and referral practice in the UK, she returned to Sydney, where she works across a number of referral clinics.
Clinical interests
Cardiac interventions, anaesthesia of critically ill patients, ultrasound-guided locoregional anaesthesia and all aspects of equine anaesthesia.
Education & examining
Head Examiner for the ANZCVS Fellowship examinations (2026), and a regular presenter at national and international conferences.
Research
Published research on invasive blood pressure monitoring and ventilation in anaesthetised horses, with award-winning conference abstracts.
