Individual anaesthesia protocols
A specialist-written anaesthetic plan for an individual small animal, equine, wildlife or exotic patient, tailored to its species, condition, procedure and your clinic's equipment and team. Particularly valuable for high-risk, critically ill or complex cases.
- Pre-operative preparation — scheduling, fasting, which medications to give or withhold, and any further laboratory data
- ASA status and anaesthesia goals for the patient
- Premedication, pre-warming, pre-oxygenation and induction, with doses
- Maintenance, fluids, monitoring and cardiovascular or respiratory support
- Recovery considerations, plus intra- and post-operative analgesia
Pain management protocols
Individual analgesia plans for the peri-operative period or ongoing pain, drawing on multimodal and locoregional techniques such as ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and epidural catheters where appropriate.
- Intra-operative analgesia, including adjuncts and locoregional techniques
- Post-operative analgesia plans, with guidance on transitioning drugs and continuing existing medications
Education & training
CPD sessions for veterinarians and veterinary nurses, delivered in-house at your clinic or online via Zoom. Sessions can be built around your team's caseload, equipment and goals.
